AXING Application Note
MoCA operates in the 1,125–1,675 MHz frequency range and therefore cannot, in principle, be combined with satellite reception. However, if television is no longer a priority in the age of streaming services and live internet TV, the existing satellite TV distribution system can be used for MoCA.
To do this, as shown in the example, a connection must be established between two antenna sockets. If, for example, a twin LNB had previously been installed for two satellite TVs, the F-connectors on the two cables can be connected using a CFA-3-00 adapter. This creates a coaxial cable connection between the antenna socket in the living room and the one in the home office.
