1985 – 2025: Four decades full of ideas, technology and people
For 40 years, AXING AG has stood for quality, innovation and reliability in TV and broadband technology. A clear vision gave rise to an internationally active company that still combines family values with technological excellence today.
Our history – from the idea to an international partner
Axel Bechler founded AXING AG in Ramsen (Switzerland) in 1985. In 1993, Christoph Moser joined the company as a co-partner. A commercial agency developed into a manufacturer with an initial, small selection of TV components for electrical wholesalers. Step by step, AXING grew into a complete provider of TV and broadband solutions.
Milestones
- 1985 – Founding of AXING AG by Axel Bechler with German manufacturer representations
- 1993/94 – Entry of Christoph Moser as shareholder as well as start of in-house production & publication of the first catalog
- 1998 – Introduction of ISO 9001 quality management
- 2007 – Inclusion in the supplier network of Kabel Deutschland (Vodafone)
- 2008 – Founding of AXING Asia Ltd. in Hong Kong
- 2009 – Acquisition of RF-Tuote Oy – expansion of headend expertise
- 2010 – Introduction of single-cable multiswitch technology
- 2013 – Introduction of innovative IP technologies (IPTV streamer, EoC)
- 2014 – Entry of the second generation – Johannes Moser
- 2016 – Development of the company’s own TV management system for the hospitality sector
- 2017 – Opening of the sales office in Dubai and acquisition of DEV Systemtechnik GmbH
- 01/2022 – Complete handover to Johannes Moser (CEO) and Benedikt Breuer (CTO). Axel Bechler withdraws from operational business and remains on the board of directors.
- 2025 – Launch of a comprehensive digital and analog optical product portfolio for network operators and the hospitality sector
- 2025 – 40th anniversary: From a trading company to a globally operating system provider

When Christoph Moser and I decided to develop our own product portfolio, we were not interested in size - but in bringing products to the market with honest work and good ideas that are reliable and of high quality and offer customers real added value. From the very beginning, our aim was to combine quality and innovation. The fact that AXING is in demand worldwide today makes me proud and confirms our path.
AXING is and remains a family company - characterised by reliability and clear values. At the same time, we are now a global player and are actively shaping the future of the TV/streaming and broadband market.
Technology is developing rapidly. Our task is not only to accompany this change, but also to create solutions that make our customers successful - today and tomorrow.

1 Why are we actually in Switzerland?
AXING was founded in the 1980s as a commercial agency for Switzerland. At that time, many Swiss customers did not accept a German dialling code – which is why founder Axel Bechler relocated across the border to Ramsen. With the development of his own product portfolio and the proximity to Germany (only 1.5 km), the focus always remained strongly on the German market. However, the location in Switzerland was never abandoned – today a homogeneous, international team of Swiss, German and many other international colleagues works here.
2 Products with History
Some of our products, which were introduced back in 1994, are still in our portfolio today. Of course, they have been continuously developed over the years and adapted to market conditions and regulations. That shows: Sustainability and longevity have always been part of our DNA.
3 Loyal customers
A double-digit percentage of our current customers have been working with AXING since the mid-1990s – a partnership that has grown on trust and reliability.
4 Work where others go on holiday.
Our head office in Ramsen may not be familiar to everyone – but it is located in the centre of a beautiful region: just 20 minutes from the world-famous Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen, 10 minutes from the picturesque town of Stein am Rhein with its painted facades and 15 minutes from Lake Constance.
