Mini Remote CCAP

DOCSIS/EdgeQAM solution – Mini-Remote-CCAP
The problem solver for migration to pure FTTH

When the optical fibre ends in the basement

Home distribution is one of the most difficult areas to implement on the way to nationwide FTTH or to full fibre-optic coverage.

CCAP 1-00 is the perfect migration scenario for this. After the fibre optic expansion of network level 3 (FTTB), the existing coaxial home distribution will continue to be used.
Using DOCSIS 3.0, all apartments/users are supplied with sufficient bandwidth. The integrated EdgeQAM ensures that the property is reliably supplied with linear television in the form of DVB-C.

Benefits at a glance:

  • 32 x 8 Bonding DOCSIS 3.0

  • Up to 64 cable modems

  • EdgeQAM for 16 DVB-C channels
